Who I've Worked With
I just want to make clear that these filmmakers completely edit their own work! My job is to come in and help them with a few wedding films a season. These are some very talented filmmakers, and if you are looking for videographers I will be happy to direct you to them!
The Editing Process...
All creators have different styles. It's my job to help videographers execute the wedding film under their brand. Once I watch a few of their films and have meetings with them, they then give me wedding video projects. First step is to send me all of the files. Sometimes this is through dropbox, other times it's through a hard drive. Then once I have the files, the videographer sends me notes about the wedding day and gives me songs to include in the wedding film. Knowing the couple know they give me an oversight of how the day went and what the couple is looking for. I then edit for a month! This process is me watching every second of the wedding, creating the layout of the film, syncing sound, placing audio, and much more. I also do check in with the videographer to make sure they know I'm working on the project. Then, I send usually two-three drafts. This is revisions due to notes, usually it's two. And that's really it! I love doing this for videographers and it's always an adventure for me, even if I'm not at the wedding.
